Slow enough here at work I got a working synopsis/outline done. Makes me feel better, because now I think I've figured out how to get through my book and keep several of the things I wanted to keep. So, with luck, I'll be able to get more of this done faster since I know where I'm going and how to edit written stuff to fit in this version. I'm sure there'll be some more roadblocks along the way, but this helps a lot. I'm not usually one for sitting down and writing outlines before something's done, but I'm starting to see the value of doing so.
And it's another thing that makes me wonder just how inter-connected life and writing is . . . since I was stuck on apartments, the book was stuck. Now, since I'm not worrying about where I'm going to be living in the near future, the book moved ahead. So, the answer would be to stop having mini-crises, and the book would be done by now. Right?
